This course offers a hands-on introduction to the world of sake. You’ll explore the main styles and types of sake through sight, smell and taste to develop an understanding of the key factors affecting flavours and aromas. 

What you will learn

  • List and state the main ingredients and main production steps used in making Sake
  • Name the key types as well as some speciality categories of sake and their characteristics
  • Know and recognise the processes and principals involved in the storage and service of Sake

On Successful completion the student will receive the Level 1 Award in Sake issued by the UK based Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET®).
