This course provides you with specialist training in the field of Restaurant Sommelier and covers theory and practical knowledge of both Australian and imported wine. This is an intensive 16 week course. Students will be required to complete study outside of class time to successfully complete the course assessments. Extensive wine tastings are included this course. The course is designed for people within the industry either working in or wishing to progress into the role of sommelier in a fine dining restaurant. The WSET Level 3 Award in Wines is included in this course.
Participation in a WSET two hour and thirty minutes theory and tasting examination is required in the final session. WSET Level 3 (or an equivalent qualification) is the required stepping-stone/entry requirement to the WSET Level 4 Diploma. On successful completion of this course students will receive a WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and a Sydney Wine Academy Professional Restaurant Sommelier certificate. It is a requirement that the WSET specification document is read before you pay. You can find this document under 'More info'. Please Note - This course does not run on Public Holidays Registration and Payment The Sydney Wine Academy accepts payment in full or by instalments.
